Explorer - An Illuminating and Provocative Work of Sculptor

My name is Jonathan Drury.

I present to you some of my views of life and living in art form. The outside metal arc
represents the wheel of life. The arc is incomplete just as my journey here is incomplete.
The axis of gears and light/crystal represents my experiences, the good and the
learning experiences bestowed upon me. The bulb, although new, unused,
is perhaps thirty years old. A nod to the past as well as the theater of life.
The bulb was actually purchased at a theater supply warehouse where it had been
sitting for the last three decades. The wood also, may be thirty years old, found
in a barn. The self, the body experience of humans. The axis ends in glass rods
going upward......Upward.
